C1 Given Up

When we had our Gaslow fitted in July 2021 at Thirsk, Charlie had no Alugas cylinders in stock, so we had no choice but to take the heavier bottles. 'Gaslow or Gaslow?' 'I'll have the Gaslow, please' ...

Yes Covid played havoc with getting cylinders and tanks but I think that's gone now, I know Charlie has quite a few different ones. Ajugas can be a bit hard to get at times without a pandemic as well I think. But cost of them you don't want to be holding a big stock either so its all a balancing act. I am a low gas user so it was no problem dropping to a single 6Kg bottle for me, my system as it was included a lot of redundancy or should I just say it was overkill lol

Went down that same route. If your careful you can get everything in 3500kg. Even used a couple of refillable gas bottles and a lithium battery.
yes but what payload do you get with a 3.500KG m/h next to nothing because i looked to give my c1 up but couldn't not enough room or pay load .cheyenne

Our M/Home was weighed by the Dealer as part of the purchase agreement; 2926Kg including 1/4 tank of diesel, so 2907kg with empty tank, giving 693kg Payload. Swapped Lead Acid Leisure Battery for Lithium to increase payload to 706kg and applied actual weights for full tanks of diesel, fresh water and LPG etc to ensure that we remain within the 3500kg weight limit

yes you have a good pay load not being bitchy here but you all so have a shorter wheel base so less storage room as we need more for extended touring 3 months at a time like wintering in Spain & i don't know your make of m/h but ours is 8.11m long with half a garage at the back . cheyenne

We managed a near 3 months trip [31st May to 3rd September 2022] to Eastern France in our 5.99m Burstner Ixeo, staying almost exclusively on Aires. It requires a little discipline and a regime that includes shopping more frequently, but nothing too taxing
