Hi jac, as you know we lived close to you we like boug st Maurice a lot we can do it in 8 hrs including the tunnel from Virginia water, bourg st Maurice has a free aire with elec included, just at the back of the aire is the local pétanque club and over the river is the local coop for cheap cheese, a local speciality is beaufort and you should get a kilo for about 13 euros,
Locally you have some of the cols that are used in TDF and are worth a ride over , andy
