Camping and Caravan Club

Anyone a Member?
I am about to join the C&CC and there is an option to give an existing member a gift when joining if they recommened you. so if someone is a member and wants a freebie, PM me your number and what gift you would like from Fleece (state size), £10 club voucher or £10 voucher for New Forest Camping.
Joining at 4:30PM today and if I get more than one reply by then will select one and be a "Secret Santa" so someone will get a little late Xmas pressie :White_Santa_Claus_E

Nice offer.

I guess many members are away and not on the forum, but there can be only winner anyway :)

little pressy on its way to you, oppy :D

As the phrase goes, nice to 'pay it forward' when possible :)

So now am a member of the 'friendly' club, as I think the C&CC calls itself? (I don't think the snooty Caravan Club would let me on one of their sites in my animal-themed self-build campervan).

if anyone planning to join, the "member recommendation" selection costs no extra and spreads a little love :)

Hi, enjoy your membership of the CCC, I have been a member for 30 years and think it the best club of all, I have been a member of the CC and the Motorhome club too but dropped then as I found all I need in the CCC , give the DA meets a try you will be surprised how free and easy they are , and generally no booking, also be sure to use the Temporary Holiday sites run by members and again free and easy, the main club sites may seem expensive but are really very good value compared to Commercial sites and the CS sites are good value too, Happy Camping.

Thanks. I'll do that. I often go by a site around 15 miles from me and might go there for a night for a trial as well once it reopens for the year (Not been at a campsite since staying at a Eurocamps in Italy in 2010).

Well today at 'Oppy Towers, the postie struggled up the driveway with a parcel por moi !!!! I am now the proud owner of a C&CC fleece Thanks so much. I actually need it now, we had the boiler serviced on Thursday. On Friday it died. Plumber promised to come last evening (4.30 - 5.00) nope!! "van broke down" he should be here soon, or so he says. My arthriticals are having a field day, I can hardly walk, borrowed a couple of fan heaters so now the living room is up to a heady 17 c

So from the bottom of my heart, thanks

Open another bottle Peter, that should warm you up short term. Might be a daft question, but why not go out to the van, it will be warm in no time. Hope you get the boiler sorted soon though.

Funny you should say that, last night we did. Problem is, that since our sons marriage break up he has been living with us, so the two fan heaters that we borrowed went to his room and Sue and I went to the 'garden annex', 'tin ut', driveway queen / 'van' and spent a wonderful night wild camping.

It's now 6.20 and the plumber has just pulled up, update to follow

Alleluia----------------praise be and pass the pizza--------------------------------------we have heat......... the problem was that a wire on the circuit board had "open circuited"----yer right !! So the 'Oppy's are now quietly melting

Excellent.
What kind of quality is it? Pretty decent?

Off-Topic .. I bought a 2kW Fan Heater from 'The Original Factory Shop' to use in my Camper while working on it on the driveway. Pretty quiet, it is small physically and best of all it was only £12, so a bargain buy I reckon. Could be worth getting one or two for standby use for future events?
