Our Carver water heater heats up okay but sometimes it then trips the overload. Any ideas please?

You mean on the unit itself? I think it has a thermostat that would normally turn it off, and the cut out as a safety if it doesn't.

So your thermostat could be dead. Is this a Malaga? I may have a spare bit at home...

Yes it is the overload on the unit. I will have to have a look tomorrow to see which model it is. Thanks

Not positive, but given that its a similar age to ours it may be the same.....carver cascade
