Clean out van

I’ve just done the opposite, emptied the tanks, taken the bedding out and all the food stuffs, looks like it will be spring before we can move again.?

Apart from the Diesel I do that after every outing as soon as I get home Bill washes the exterior and I clean the inside so I am always ready at a moments notice when I get bored I can just get in and go. Even down to my scrape repairs are all filled and sanded you can hardly see the battle scarsvnow lol.

Quite right I agree with you wholeheartedly, but my other half having chemotherapy treatment which doesn’t finish all being well till March, trying to get a few days together in between hospital appointments is a nightmare. We have usually gone away all through the winter mainly on sites I must admit, but never the less as you say it’s great to look out at a thick frost and you are nice and toasty in the van.

Whilst I was changing the alloys yesterday Tes took everything out of the van, cleaned all the cupboards and draws, washed and cleaned all items and then put them back. We wanted to make sure that Mr Mouse had not left anything behind. I still have some cleaning to do but I will do it Thursday when I get to Stoke.

I have just finished cleaning and polishing the interior of mine, sorted out a problem I had with the wifi receiver and put a few extra 12v sockets in all ready to get a month in France before Henley but the Hospital has put paid to that because I need another operation, I was told on Thursday that I had been referred back to the surgeon so I cannot go away yet, at least it is ready when we can.

I hope all goes well with your other half Saxonrosie,

We recently traded our van in. It had a payload of 1500kg so we just loaded everything into it. Prior to part exchanging it we had to empty it out. We started at 9 o’clock Saturday morning and finished at 5pm with hardly a break between. I couldn’t believe the amount of stuff we cleared out of it, some of which had hardly ever been used in our 7 years of ownership! Both cars are now living out of the garage as it is full of the clutter we cleared out of the van awaiting arrival of the new van (although we’re going to be very selective as to what goes back in). There is even some stuff in one of the spare bedrooms so bad luck on any of our kids if they want to come to stay!
