Just wodered what others use to keep their van clean.
I use Muc off caravan cleaner after each trip out Muc off caravan cleaner
I spray on with a garden sprayer, then spray a little water on an leave for a few minutes. Next brush with a soft brush and rinse off. An advantage is that when it rains any residual washes off taking dirt with it.
For the black plastic parts I use Autoglym vinyl and rubber cleaner Vinyl and rubber cleaner
I’ve tried a variety of glass cleaners with good results.
Twice a year I apply a good quality wax to the cab.
Finally I use tyre black on the tyres. Tyre black

Waterless was (autoshine) foe me.
Ronde off heavy dirt mud or grime and let dry sometimes.
Very quick, spray on wipe with microfibre cloth, then buff with second cloth.
Very quick and works a treat, even do it when away, often one side, front or back, at a time.
Minimum pain , max gain.

Yes, the waterless can be good. I sometimes use Greased Lightning when away from home.

Don’t know if I dare post in this one but...

Yesterday son in law got me out to have a van clean. Low power pressure wash and only thing in cupboard was some wash and shine type multi purpose household cleaner

Anyway after years of multi product clean and care on cars when I was interested in them we did it. I can say it doesn’t remove all those little rain lines but it did better than I expected. Main thing is the boss was happy even if we ended up knackered :)

Started to polish mine a few weeks ago using an orbital polisher for the first time. I ended up with a trapped Sciatic nerve and laid up for a fortnight.

It will stay as it is until next Spring and I will get a professional to do it next time.

Occasionally it rains in Hertfordshire.
It did in April.
And we expect more later in the year.
Two washes per year is more than adequate for any Moho.

Colin ???

I like the waterless too now and then - Shake and Shine is marvellous and helps to keep the streaks at bay. It's a lot of hard work for me though, so I usually use Fenwicks Motorhome Cleaner to give it a good wash and slosh some Bobby Dazzler over it afterwards for a nice shine. Still haven't found a good way to get the bugs off the overhead though, especially since my neighbour confiscated my only means of climbling up there to really give it some wellie.

I would like to stand, or kneel, on the roof of my van, but am unsure whether it would take my weight. I am 12 stone.
Some dealers say no problem, other dealers say it’s a big no!
My van is a Pilote A class, and it’s a bugger to reach everywhere from a ladder propped against the side.
What does everybody else do?

I do know other Pilote A class owners who have stood on theirs. Isn't there usually a 'safe' area where it'll be fine? It usually tells you in the owner's manual where there's enough strength and support.

I absolutely don't dare to stand on mine... it's not the best quality build, to say the least. When I put even so much as hand pressure anywhere on my roof to clean it, it dips like tin foil! I think there's a supported area at the back that should be OK but I really wouldn't like to risk it.

I use and have used for the past 8 years WWW- Williams Waterless Wax on everything except the windscreen. The van looks as good today and when she was brand new.
For dirty silicone I use Autoglym Caravan and Motorhome Cleaner and an old toothbrush. Brings it up a treat.

Mirror covers seem most difficulties to clean. Attract most dirt and flies and even t-cut doesn’t cut!!!!!! It. Sorry!?

I am getting soot spots on the offside of the van from the exhaust and are very difficult to remove.
Is it safe to use T-Cut on the GRP ?
as this seems to be the only thing that will shift them.
And are there any extension pipes that direct the fumes downwards that can be fitted to a Peugeot Boxer exhaust ?

Do you know if the glass fibre has been sprayed or is it a gel coat finish as that may affect what to do?
There will be extension pipes, if there is an exhaust it’s got one so you just need to measure end pipe size and buy one. If diameter is right it will fit, they are fairly generic. So long as it is a round pipe that is
