Cold Weather

It's been very very cold in Cumbria, and I got lazy.....normally I would disconnect the pipe from the water tank, use the pump to get most of the water out of the pipe and pump and blow through to get the rest of the water out, then reconnect and leave it, but I got lazy.....the new pump and filter arrive today. :Very_Angry_Emoji:

Oops lesson learned hope it wasn't too expensive. ?
 
Not too bad as I don't need a whole lot of pressure in my water system. I might put a new diaphragm in the old whale pump and sell it.
 
Next time....I hope there won't be a next time, have had to make several trips to the mirror to give myself a proper scolding for being so careless.:Grinmacing_Face_Emo
 
It's all fixed now, so I can get ready for my next wild camp:Thinking_Face_Emoji
 
Similar happened to me a year ago. Just arrived in France at the start of our trip to Portugal and discovered a leak on the water pump. As luck would have it I found a French dealer who had the exact pump on the shelf. 10 minutes to change it, job done.
As soon as we arrived home I ordered a repair kit on line and now I have a spare pump on board, thus insuring I'll never have a leaking pump ever again! ?
