cruise control = fuel saving ?

Yes allegedly cuts emissions and improves economy .

Did wonder when engine cuts off and air con is operating
When the Stop/Start operates on the car, the air con fan reduces output significantly - almost like a 'limp mode' setting - enough energy to keep you safe/visible and legal, but about as bright as a Toc H lamp [does that expression date me? :ROFLMAO: ]

If I knew what a Toc H lamp was I could answer that
Very much doubt it was before my time ?
Just checked , it was !

I wouldn't be without my cruise control. As has been said, it is not about economy, it is about comfort and for me, safety. Tomorrow morning we will be heading from Dieppe to Marsiellan Plage. We will drive to get there Sunday evening, so three days traveling.

Because we need to get there ASAP, we are meeting some people, I can set the cc and gad along at around 55/60 and let the cc do the work. I can't sit there for hours with my legs and ankle in one position. Do I can move my legs and feet about and stop them aching.

I use CC every time I can. Only regret is that it's not adaptive as it is on my car. Even at the minimum speed it engages (30kmh), I use on busy town streets. It keeps a safe distance to the front vehicle and even stops the car if th front one does. Having a Toyota Hybrid systems helps

I suffer from sore legs if I'm sitting down for hours and cruise control gives them a rest and I can move my legs around/stretch them when it's safe to do so.
Unfortunately this is just in my car as the moho doesn't have CC being ancient 🤣🙈

Wether Cruise control uses more fuel or not I personally dont think it makes any difference as in my car anyway it seems to hold the gears as long as it can and changes back up asap if it changes down for hills, so it drives very like its driven by me anyway, also better point out its automatic which might make the cruise control more efficient as on my previous manual car CC would drop out if the revs got to low for the gear.

As most say....comfort is the big win....arrive still fresh/ no leg aches etc.
Use CC all the time 35mph plus with Citroen Relay...just nudge stalk for + or -
Only problem comes when using CC in Dacia Duster....different system...forgot how/can't remember....I am old (78).....no hope. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Alec.

Oh how I wish my vans had the same adaptive cc I have in my Kia.
The one in my cars superb other than it follows a bit closer even on the furthest setting than I like
It comes to a complete standstill and automatically pulls away within 3 seconds or prompts the driver to do so if longer.
It’s fantastic in slow moving traffic

All the time cc is in you’ve got the added safety of additional automatic braking
