It depends on the quality of the stream. 320kbps rate translates to 2.40 MB per minute of audio or 115.2 MB per hour. So if you were to stream music for an entire eight hour work day, you'd burn through nearly 1 GB.

Download from you tube as an audio mp3 file; if you use Firefox there are add-ons to do this.

Funny you should ask that..I've got a data pack on my sim temp.and I did an experiment and for 30mins it used 35mb..that was latching on to the hotspot from my phone to my laptop

I would suggest using a internet radio app such as Tune In rather then YouTube as it will consume far less data.
