Price are still very high on forecourts well above prices pre covid.
If you talk to them when buying they confirm good secondhand stock is hard to find, and prices are up..

Phone them back as a new enquire and tell them your px van and its a different story market is slow..prices are down.
They all must reading the same scripts 3 dealers same story...

did you hear the sucking of the breath through the teeth as they told you as well?

plus if you are trading in a m/h & making up the difference & pay cash you get a crap deal because they get commission on finance so tell them you want hp before agreeing what they will give you in PX .cheyenne

Nothing new there, buy low, sell high, just normal business.

Unfortunately we are down grading .our van its worth more that what we want ..so they down value our van even more ..

Sell privately it's not difficult, you cut out the dealer and let someone have a sensible deal, I always buy and sell privately, £30 for a month on Ebay, easy to write about it and you can put plenty of pictures up.

I don't know if motorhomes will follow the trend but used car prices are going down just lately.

The worst affected seems to be the Range Rovers but that is down to the huge number of them being stolen (90 a day in London alone). Jaguar Land Rover say they have a workaround to help prevent it but there will be tens of thousands to recall. At the moment Dealers cannot sell them and the auctions are seeing no bids on them. Some Insurance companies are refusing to insure them and those that do have started hiking their prices.

Ah, what a shame.

I’ve got a calculator in my works van with no battery in it for years every now and then I pull it out when I get a certain type of customers who wants to haggle I start hammering away at it even though it’s not on. They try too look over my shoulder to see what I’m doing I shield it. I just like fkg with there heads.

Tormenting potential customers is a sure route to going to hell, ya bad man :giggle:

I have just sold my Burstner using CCSW as a broker, they are a member of Wild Camping, maybe here. I was able to just leave it all up to them as I didn’t have a ‘need’ to sell it quickly. It took maybe 3 weeks in total, I was very surprised expecting to wait a couple of months at this time of the year.

Kev, I thought the correct term to be “curry goat” rather than goat curry?
