Describe motorhoming to a newbie

Imagine you just met someone who has no idea what a motorhome is or what you do with it.

How would you explain our passion to them?

Whilst people think about travel, a motorhome gives them the ability to realise those thoughts, and in an affordable manner.

It provides memories and laughter for their twilight years.

I take a great many photos, and already love reliving my travels. Being a bit of an anorak, I annotate them with country, department, town, etc and can usually find any photo in seconds with my pc search engine, and instantly know when I was there.

It’s a freeadom that only your budget puts limits on it, if the weather is bad you move if the weather is fab you stay and you can wake up to a different view everyday if you want.

Met quite a few newbies recently and I feel we all can offer help/ideas and ways but not one person can resolve all as we all motorhome differently .sometimes I feel I put too much onto a newbie and feel the shutters start to come down .but if they see it on the forum instead face to face people seem to comprehend it as it’s in (black and white)

Having just (partly) moved into a house after 3.5 years travelling, I would say the biggest gain being in a motorhome is ... very little housework and no gardening or decorating!!! More time to explore or read.

Liking it, or being OK with it is not enough. You really have to love that moving white line. Secondly you need to have an insane curiosity to see what is around the next bend. If you have both of those & a partner whose ok with a chemical loo, we'll, go buy your Moho with confidence as YOU WILL enjoy the adventure.
