Do you think this can be repaired?

Phew frightening!

Hope occupants and others all ok

Look how thorough the rescue teams are clearing up Would you get that in UK?

Well that Hymer A class just disintegrated, this it what worries me about camper vans

i have always hoped a semi intergrated or overcab with a front chassis cab would hold up a bit better

Don’t know how constructors get away with this type of construction as they are still passenger carrying vehicles and should have more strength.
Even cars break if you hit them hard enough. I guess roll cages could be developed for motorhomes but I doubt that many purchasers would welcome the weight and cost penalty involved. It would be interesting to know what happened in this accident to cause such damage.

Hymers 88 to 94 have roll cage built in. I saw a van like the one pictured on my first trip to France. Chassis and a few bits of wood and aluminium in a ditch off the side of a tight bend. The police were desperately trying to flag traffic to slow down as they approached the scene. Something like that sticks in your mind as you drive.
