Don't understand motorhomers

We have friends who do not understand our lifestyle as full timers .We are really enjoying our travel adventures but after many years my best mate sends me this pic which sums up his impression .Seems a shame he doesn't get it .
He is holding off retirement due to concerns of getting bored !0_IMG-20181109-WA0000.jpg
 
Strangely enough when I told work I would not retire I did it for the same reason of not wanting to be bored. We live in the sticks so I knew it would be slouched on sofa on computer or watching tv.

Amazing how things have changed since we bought the van, been part time since May and can't wait to finish in a few weeks. I can only describe the sense of freedom as similar to getting your first motorbike and tent although they are completely different ha ha

Cos the world has gone mad, pity the pc brigade don’t all bugged off to an island somewhere and leave everyone else alone ?
 
Some people live to work, others work to live. I retired at a relatively early age, never imagined how unboring retirement could be. Each to their own I suppose. I can’t imagine now how I ever found time to work!
 
I suppose there are many different ways to enjoy retirement. Having a motorhome is not for everyone ....... apparently. :confused:

Working day to me was groundhog day , I regret not retiring early .I have a mate in his mid 70 he has is own joinery business .has no intension of retiring .so who got it right , both of us .his hobby is waterskiing ,every weekend summer and winter , at 70 for his birthday he skied 70 miles. To the Humber Bridge .

Some people just want to be offended, They are worriors who are permanently on crusades. They get offended on behalf of others who mostly don't give a damn. These are people who probably climb up on their own window cill to look into a neighbours house and complain the neighbour is naked in their bathroom. You can't do anything about that.

I like this idea. PC Island. It could be part of a select archipelago along with , Love Island, Celebrity Get me out of here Island, and, Oh! I don't know, Sheppy. Just make sure it's in a hurricane footprint.

I've often thought the USA was a great, but weird place. I've been twice, Deep South. And found it to be familiar, yet so strange. This Trump bloke takes that to a whole new level. No diplomacy, short tempered, bullying. Yet loved by millions.
I'm no judge, I never could understand David Bowie's popularity. At least Trump doesn't change personality every 10 minuets.

No idea what the above has to do with the Tread Title. It does however give me 2 more credits.

I don't think he's racist, he just doesn't want people wandering into the US just like that, can't say I blame him for that, not sure he likes Mexicans anyway though.
 
Are allowed to say a hole in that context? Talk about Mexican, have you tried Tacho's. I'm not a jalapeno fan. I think it's a macho thing.
 
Jalapenos are ok, once you get used to them.
