So Bill and I have decided to downsize from our Rapido F763 to something smaller a panel van type so at the moment looking for the van that fits us preferred layout is either bench seats or fixed bed in the rear with a dinette at the front giving us 4 traveling seats then the usual toilet sink shower fridge 2/3 ring Hob with a grill not bothered about an oven got a few ideas of models that suit but what I would like is a list of dealers like Highbridge that are in Somerset and Devon around the rest of the country so we can call in on our travels until we find the one we want please post any dealers in your area that’s worth a look at distance is not a problem.

There is a conversion company in Duns (https://www.millgaragecoachworks.co.uk/) that might be worth dropping into when you are coming to the Kelso meet?

We have just had the same thoughts..
Not much new stuff in dealers, that goes for 6mtr panel vans.
Highbridge said next spring for delivery.. and so did all dealers in glos/monmouth and a bit of south wales.
We looked at autotrail/ chausson/ swift and carthago. We wanted a pop top addition to it...
We decided none were worth the £30 to £40 grand difference in cost to what we have , so we took ours down from sale as the deal just wasn't worth it...
Hope you have more luck than us.. there is a lot of cheap stuff out there but we don't want cheap.
Thinking of buying short mirror arms instead so it will be the same width,,,,
2 photos. What we want and what we have....Screenshot_20220404-115607_Chrome.jpg

Drover, your current motorhome looks lovely and is fairly narrow for a motorhome as well. What would switching to a Panel Van conversion get you compared to your existing van?

I agree IH vans are as good as they get but as well as being very expensive, being top spec and fully loaded there's not much payload if you stick to 3.5t. Get a trailer?
Ours is a 6.3M Tio so rear lounge 2 berth and only 2 belted seats. Bought second hand but hardly used. Theres some considerable saving over new vans if you look. IH also sell used (trade-in) vans.
They are in Knottingly near Ferry Bridge.
Good luck with your search.
K ;)

Basically 6mtr length instead of 7.5 mtr.
Sally says it's too long;)

as you no doubt are aware joy has just completed a downsize like this but wanted sub 6mtr so it would be her daily drive as well her recent op has delayed her use of it but purchased from up nr preston i believe i know her son took her around several dealers in your home area

I would always recommend Todds Leisure at Lostock Hall, Preston. They may not have exactly what you want but their website is always worth checking on. I think Globecar do a van with the bed layout you are looking for and again their is a northern dealer - Signature Motorhomes.
I have a similar van to what you are looking for but mine is a French bed rather than the transverse. It does have the dinette with the extra seatbelts but I needed to purchase seatbelt extenders as the belts fitted were nit long enough for the average adult!

think it was todd’s that joy got hers from , they’ve had it back several times honnouring the warranty
