Ducato - help with part identification.

Found this on the floor by the front seats on our 2020 Ducato and I can’t see where it came from. I’ve searched the forum to no avail, and tried Google Lens. Can anyone help? Much appreciated.

I don't know for sure but it kind of looks like a VIN plate cover? there is a semi-hidden VIN stamped into the metalwork around the drivers cab step - maybe that is a cover for it?

It sticks out a bit much though? a VIN cover could be very flat.

Is it not an electrical cove under the seat?not sure for certain

Have you had your battery out lately? Theres a long plastic cover that goes over all the positive terminals or least mine has - could it be that?
My battery is located under passenger footwell.

Is it one of the handles that are on the seat to adjust height/pitch?

Yes we had the battery changed recently. I’ll open up and take a look. Thank you for all your helpful comments. I’ll let you know when I find the correct position.

Not for the battery - it’s a minefield in there in any case!
