Dumping stations UK

We are travelling to the UK from Germany and will be travelling for 8 weeks. I’m having trouble finding information on dumping stations for both black and grey water in the UK.
Does anyone know where to get this information?

Searchforsites shows dumping facilities but in some parts of the UK they are difficult to find other than on campsites. Searchforsites has an advanced search where you can filter by service facilities.

You will be very lucky to find either of those in this country and a camp site will charge you about £10 unless you are actually spending the night on their site

Depends what you mean by "this country". Some countries of the UK are more advanced than others in this respect. Yes, not always easy, but there are apps (including the WildCamping.co.uk Location App) that can be of assistance in this regard.

It might be worth joining one of the main clubs: the Caravan and Motorhome Club, or the Camping and Caravanning Club. Their small private 5 unit sites all have basic dump facilities and fresh water, but very few have drive-over facilities. There are almost no stellplatz equivalents. As a member you can use the dump facilities at their managed Club Sites for a fee. All these are shown on searchforsites.co.uk

Not all Caravan & camping Club managed sites allow a stop off just to dump and service. These do:-

I have not been a member of the Caravan and Motorhome club for a few years but my memory says that they do not allow dump and service at any managed site. Happy to be corrected if I am wrong on that though.

I think there are a few of their sites where they allow it but not many.

I stand corrected. The CMC does NOT allow non-residents to use its motorhome service points. The CCC allows 3 hour stops for dumping and filling at 50 sites for a fee of (I think) £7.95, but only for members.

It’s not entirely true that there are no stellplatzen. Campra (Campaign for real Aires) and CTC (the Caledonian Touring Club) have certified a number of small sites that operate similar to stellplatzen (Aires). There are somewhere between 100-150 of these throughout the UK, although the majority are in Scotland. Many of these allow access for paid services without staying, as do a number of campsites albeit mostly in Scotland. They are all listed on Searchforsites. It is worth getting the searchforsites app as this shows most Aires and campsites suitable for motorhomes, and identifies which are indépendant and which need club membership. Although (technically) Campra Aires need a membership, this is given free of charge at the first aire you use.
Enjoy your trip. We will be heading the other way to Germany.
