I wanted to ask a simple question, so tapped ask a seller a question and now you get this to fill in:-

So would I get pestered? not keen on doing it anyway, ebay might even be selling the info too.

That is what pops up now if you want to ask a question, I suppose it's there to put you off asking.

Is that when you are logged into your eBay account as well Kev? It’s a while since I raised a question on eBay but I don’t think I had to give quite as much info as that. May be wrong though as it could have auto filled it for me
 
Yes logged in as normal, I never log out but I checked when I saw that, and yes I was logged in, I would normally just scroll down and ask a question after choosing the option.

I'll leave it and if it is still there in a day or so I'll ring Ebay and see what the hell is going on.
 
It's bloody gone now, glad I grabbed it.

I went back to the actual ad I was curious about, a mate is looking for a PVC.

and it is still there as it was this morning, maybe it something they want.

Very strange, I've just checked using our account for both a motor and a normal item and I just get the usual screen with no request for contact info, maybe its something that a seller can request?
 
That's what I was thinking last night but it's a bad idea as I'm not giving my details to a seller, any contact should be via Ebay not direct.
 
I'd be tempted to raise it with eBay. They are really hot on no direct communication.
If I remember correctly from years ago, sellers could code their items, so maybe the seller added the code for a different form.

You aren’t using some type of blocker for your browser and the new screen doesn’t have you details by any chance?
 
No just same old chrome, its not every ad though.

And try and find ther ph no to make a complaint, not had bother in the last few years mind you, got my money back on incorrect things sent and not as stated, why do they keep changing things. :unsure:
