The insurance business is odd! We have a policy with Aviva Property Extra, through broker: CETA Insurance. Premium: £281.68 for a 4 bed detached house. Unoccupancy up to 180 days. Conditions are; internal inspection every 14 days, heating on low or water pipes drained (we did both). In the event of a claim they would want to see the inspection record and utility bills. We were previously with RIAS but on renewal they were no longer doing unoccupied cover.
