Europe road tax

What happened to just get up and go. Seems every European country has a different system. Some can be online and others purchase at borders. We are 5500 kg. Any simple way of sorting this for our route?

Do you mean tax or insurance or tolls.
Tax is only relevant in country if registration Isn’t it?

Tolls? Best bet is to search online, some countries just charge you as you pass through normal toll booths ( like France) and some require electronic payments. it all depends on your weight. As your van is over 3500kg it may require an auto payment gadget to be fitted.

Plans are afoot to try and make all Spanish Motorways toll. This was in the local paper Olive press, developers are proposing this to the government because there is a shortfall of money, billions, for new and improved infastructure, they want 9 to 19cents per kilometre depending on vehicle size. Missing our money already it seems.

They've only just started to remove tolls. That was a fast change of heart.
