External speakers for use with my laptop when in the MH

Does anyone have any of these? I have found that when watching some stuff on the laptop when away, I could do with some extra volume (if its raining for example) or if I am watching the rugby as I like the volume a little louder then.

The idea is that they would stay in the MH as I don't have this problem at home.

Despite buying several leads I am unable to hook the laptop up to the Avtex telly in the MH so that is not an option but tbh, that isn't loud enough sometimes anyway like when it's hammering down with rain.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

As above, rechargable BT speakers can be very good, and usable outside. We also have internal speakers on a permanent (switched) install for BT - used for music from phones and movies on laptop.
e.g. we have
https://amzn.to/3MO8l6A as permanent install (its 12v, so don't need the PSU)
And https://amzn.to/3MLyIdf (bought in 2016! So newer ones and no doubt better available)

We had an Avtex Soundbar fitted with the Avtex tele, so the sound goes through the bar rather than the tinny tv speakers. It has Bluetooth too and I’ve also connected an iBasso hifi device which has all my music loaded. Avtex Soundbar

I have Sony SRS-XB-23. One of my better lock down buys ! I was fed up with tinny BT speakers that also had problems connecting.

One charge lasts about 10 hours. The speakers are nice and heavey so don't vibrate. I use them at home to blast out music when I'm on my own or in the moho with the tablet or phone .

I find them better that the Fiat moho speakers so just hang the sony from the gear knob and listen to the radio/podcast/music thro' the phone whilst driving. Quality.

Agreed. The Anker Soundcore2 will give you enough volume to make your van neighbours complain, if that's what you want. Paired with the free Vradio app (Windows, Apple, Android) it'll give you your favourite radio station wherever you are in the world with an internet signal.

I know this Anker thing has bluetooth but does it come with an old fashioned lead as well that I can plug into my laptop headphones jack plug socket?

Why would you want to use a cable instead of Bluetooth? Even if your laptop has no by, a usb dongle from the pound shop will fix that

mainly because I don't understand much of what you said tbh:D

Most laptops under 10 years old will probably have bluetooth built in. It's a way to wirelessly connect devices over short distances.
You simply "pair" the laptop to the speaker and it works, with no need for a wire. This really is not at all difficult.
If your laptop lacks built-in bluetooth, you can buy a bluetooth adapter (smaller than you little finger nail) that plugs into your laptop. They cost very little indeed.

thanks

Mine has bluetooth. I have never used it but if the speaker will work better than connecting it via the jack plug I'll give it a go then.

I plan on ordering one of these Anker jobbies tomorrow or the next day as we don't get home until Thursday so don't want it delivering before then.

Yes it does take the "old fashioned" 3.5mm lead but you have to buy the actual lead separately (if you haven't already got one). (y)

I use one of these in the MH for the SatNav. Works well on Bluetooth. I have noticed though when I hook it upto the TV that you get a delay with BT so speech is slightly out of sync. It can be used with a 3.5mm jack as well. You could use headphones which might be a better solution if you want it loud.

Update

I bought one of the Anker jobbies for around 28 quid last week. What a great piece of kit and so small too so great for the MH.

Thanks to all who helped with suggestions (y)
