Festival's and events of interest 2018

If you no of, any good cheap festival and events for 2018 .

The New Forest Folk Festival is below £100 for 5 days of camping with 4 with live music. Very relaxed atmosphere and excellent food and beer/cider on sale. This will be my 5th year. Check out

Also Camper Calling at Ragley Hall. Different type of music but still very family friendly.

Giving these a try this year.....http://wildfestivals.co.uk/ ...they have a fb page.

I tried one of these. Was supposed to be a quiet one. It was fine until someone reversed their car up to the fire and proceeded to play loud music all night with the boot open. Same the following night!

Ive often wondered if all the motorhome forums got together could they organise a kind of mini music festival on a big rally field somewhere. Probably cost too much I suspect. I organised a small one a few years ago for Fruitcakes and Facts members at Croft. About 30-40 vans I seem to remember. Long weekend about 3-4 days. We had an acoustic session one night, Zumba classes in the morning, a few daft games and our own live band (Well three of us) in the evening in the big function room. It was a proper hoot but a bigger one just for motorhomers would be great.

Several musicians (including me) just love jamming. FWIW, we're going to three festivals this year (March Manouche, and the Tamworth and Cornish Bluegrass Festivals) for the concerts, workshops and jam sessions. If you run the festival as an 'open mike' and jamming event ...

BTW, those festivals I mentioned might not be considered 'cheap' but here are some links:

Thats a bit like what we did. It was small scaled though. The acoustic session was dead easy but we had Mike (Mackems) with us who was a bit of a pro so the live PA gig on the Sunday night was a success thanks to him. We ended up playing for nearly three hours!! I dunno where he is now, i think he may be on FUN. If you had a few pros onboard then it would work and maybe they could look after and encourage the amateurs. Croft near Darlington is a superb venue as it has a huge rally field and a proper working mens club function room with a stage and space for a couple of hundred people or more. It was cheap as chips as well. Think Phoenix nights and you wont be far wrong.

Farmer pills great weekend we got 7 extra days camping last year for £10.bargain
