Fiamma D shaped door clamp.

Hi everyone a word of advice please.My van has a Fiamma D shaped habitation door clamp that folds over to stop hab. door opening obviously it locks when over the door but when folded back beside the body it doesn’t seem to lock is this normal ,I am a bit concerned that some bright spark could pull it out to a dangerous position while at lights etc. thanks for any information.

Not tried to lock it when folded against the body as it never occurred to me it could be a problem. Ours needs you to pull the little catch underneath down to turn it across, making it a two handed job - not something a casual passer-by would do. I'll try it next time we are at the van anyway.

Mine locks open but needs a wiggle to get the position just right.

I have tried wiggling the key ,bar etc still won’t lock back to the body it may be as the van is twenty five years old that the bar is one of old models and perhaps the early ones don’t lock .’
