Fiat ducato airbag issues (again)

I have had on going airbag issues on a fiat Ducato (2014). The air bag, front passenger air bag deactivated and seat belt warning lights are all on with a flashing mileage reading. It has a new fully charged engine battery and the airbag eco has been sent off to crash data and found to be ok! Anyone any ideas what to try next before a huge bill from fiats?

Check the connection under the seat there’s a wee plug with a sensor attached it gives problems especially on vans with swivel seats it can come loose.

Would this plug cause the airbag warning light to come on?

I guess it can if it comes loose.

There is a sensor in the seat base that will tell the airbag to work if someone is sitting in that seat, the wiring gets tangled or loose when swivelling the seat or storing things under the seat , this then creates a fault on the airbag monitoring system

I don’t have a underseat plug in our Moho but I do in the car .
I pushed a pair of shoes under the seat and that’s when my troubles started but the garage went straight to the problem a two minute
Repair £ 40 I had pushed the wire out of of one connector ..

Now I am not so lazy and put any spare shoes in the boot .
