Fiat lights/indicator stalk

Anyone else with a late model Fiat cab swearing profusely at the light/indicator control whenever they flip the full beam on /off ?

Every time I do so, the indicator comes on for 3 flashes because the micro switch has been jogged ever so slightly !

I'm sure it's just something to get used to, but i hate the thought that I'm giving erroneous signals to other road users.

My 65 Plate Peugeot Boxer dose the same it just dose it going from high to low beam its ok low to high its quite dangerous if some one is overtaking and I dip my lights when they are alongside me an the right hand indicator starts the other driver thinks I am going to turn right. So I now don't dip until they are well past me. And what I have also found if I am turning left on dipped lights I cant see where the edge of the road is its just black. I have sold the Peugeot and new van is on a Fiat so was hoping that it would be ok but sounds like it will be the same.

mine too a pain in the butt i asked fiat if they could turn off the 3 flashes sadly no its built into the ecu progress i think not

They areb the same on our Smart car. Why they put them on I have no idea, I was taught to allow 6 flashes before carrying out a manoeuvre. 3 flashes are not long enough to register with someone following you.
