Pre-my retirement college was approached by a local community group to design and manufacture what would be a memorial to a deceased group member, and also to depict a circular shape for a walk the locals call the globe. Job ended up with me, with fabrication and welding completed before my finish date in January.

Stage two, digging 500mm deep, then putting in place a solid concrete base to sit and secure the finished item, then all back filled with more concrete. My grandson helped me with the above, good to have the young ones involved with community work.

Stage three, along with grandson, we mounted and secured the top part of this kinetic piece before final unveiling at eleven am this morning, where the piece was unveiled by the deceased gents family, I did not expect such a large turnout.

Well that's it, my final project complete, was a good day, apart from Scotland not beating France.

What a great last task and there for all to see for years.

Is that you, sitting beside your Grandson, on the final pic ?

You've, stopped shaving, since retiring ?

It's been a while since we last saw you ?
