For what it’s worth, my last Motorhome had a fire extinguisher fitted on the floor just behind the driver’s seat. That seemed to me to be an excellent place, as it was easily accessible from inside, if it’s a minor fire, or from outside, if more serious.
On the same principle, I have fitted my present A class with a fire extinguisher just inside the door, at floor level. The logic being that a minor fire can be fought from the inside, if that’s where you are, or from the outside, if necessary!!
Whichever location you choose, may you never have to prove it is a good one!!!
