Fireworks & pets

There’s some still going off here tonight also Lorraine

Bl- - dy ridiculous that fireworks are still getting let off ,thought last night with the rain it would deter but 9 last night boom went on for 30 mins and stopped then around 11 a few more set off ,it’s about time things were tightened up .think on all them wild animals let alone pets that are affected

We get them all year round as the Wyboston Lakes complex is just down the road.

It is a popular wedding venue and fireworks seem to be the norm at large weddings these days.

There has been some outrageous and dangerous behaviour in areas of Scotland due to fireworks. There is currently a petition to the Scottish Govt to ban the sale apart from licenced displays. Hopefully this will receive the necessary attention from the first minister. They love us living in a nanny state up here and were quick to ban unlicenced air rifles, but this is a ban I would agree with.

They are doing it again

Last night I was going around the corner...... A lady was out walking her dog ...... young black labrador about 5/6 months old, it was playing with its lead ....... one of them screeching fireworks went off . ......... it didn't bat an eye lid
In Lancashire on the news. ........ A blind lady was out with her dog ....... lots of fireworks where involved the dog ran off traumatized & the lady ended up on the floor while they threw through fireworks at her

Well tonight is yet another firework display, my dog Roxy is like a blue ars.. fly up & down can't settle. The dog nest door Alfie keeps barking

Had them going off here most o the day just wished they’d knock it on the head
I am more than hoping they call it a day today ....... if not something lawful should be done ....... and I am sure that a lot of people have animals and agree to this

The fireworks have been going off heavily this last 20 minutes, just as I thought we weren't getting anymore until the new year, Roxy is up and Down running here and there under furniture......... no rest for the wicked

had no fireworks near me at all (thankfully).
The cat is not keen but because we get very loud and very low RAF jets playing dogfights, she is kinda used to loud noises to a certain degree.

(Really think fireworks should not be on general sale - far too many idiots buy them)

We’ve had a few fireworks tonight but more in the distance but Misty can still hear the bangs and whistles when she’s outside but they don’t seem to bother her thankfully with them being in the distance!

Hi for some reason we have had a few fireworks tonight, last one a minute ago, not really the weather for it, it keeps heavy raining on and off
Roxy keeps disappearing and Alfie the dog next door keeps barking

Bit Late with this but may help if used frequently Dogs Trust have down loadable fire work noise on their web site which they suggest if played to you pets often gets them to ignore it eventually. I've no dog but my neighbour has and he's told me it certainly helped his pair

I am very interested in this, I need to prepare for New Years Eve, or I won't be able to go outside the Motorhome and leave her, not fair at all when she is terribly frightened, she won't know whats gong on
She was alright at Henley On Arden last New years eve don,t remember any fireworks bothering her, maybe she doesn't bother in the MH with it being confined and the television or radio on
