Winter tyres (and wheelsj fitted this morning to the car as had first frost of the season on Windscreen

Friends just messaged to say its sleeting in the forest of dean

Winter tyres already on the camper

Not too bad up here so far, but used to fit the Winters by start of November usually :)

Needed new tyres on my DS5 Car a few years ago and decided to try the Michelin Cross-Climates when they first came out and they were honestly the best tyres I have used - Winter OR Summer and ideal for the UK IMO. Then sold on the Winter Wheels and Tyres and saved the hassle of swpping wheels twice a year :)
Michelin have extended the range significantly now and on checking they even have ones to fit my 4.6t LT so be very worthwhile looking at as an alternative to dedicted Winter and Summer sets of tyres(especially on vehicles where the tyres age through time rather than through wear - Sold the Suzuki Swift recently with 5 year old tyres that had done around 5,000 miles and still got a set of Winter Tyres and wheels the same age with around just 4,000 miles on them to sell (waiting for snow to advertise them ;) ) - shame the Cross-climates were not around then when bought those two sets of tyres!)

Michelin Crossclimate’s certainly look good

Fitted a full set on my fathers Fiat Panda last month , much quieter than the old tyres

86 and drives it like a go-cart

Great to see them now doing them in commercial sizes , they should be great on wet grass on muddy camp sites

We only had sleet this morning marie but just 10 mins up the road where my brother and sister live they had the white stuff

Never seen anyone change tyres here, its just not done.
That's coz it's never warm enough to put summer tyres on :)

I think in Scotland, the winter tyres seem to go on more than the summer ones (I was going to get Winters as full-time ones until I found out cross-climates came in my size :) )

I was lucky conti did the four seasons in the size and load rating I needed so went with them when I got my new tyres fitted :)

We haven’t had snow in Moffat but temps have now dropped to what we had at home the last week or so but we will be heading north after the meet. Surprised you aren’t at this one Dave as it’s close for you isn’t it? You have missed a good one in any event :)
