Fitting an extra battery

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere .

I need an extra battery. I haven't a allocated space for it, so I will need a battery box and probaby placed underneather habitation seating. I have a regulator/controller from my 100w solar panel which has connections for a secondary battery.

Do I just need to wire the second battery to the regulator/controller and job done?
Are there special wiring looms for this purpose?
Should I swap the 100w panel for a larger panel to cope with recharging the extra battery?
