Any tips on place to stop and things not to be missed on route, rough route

Another vote for the DK eyewitness books, although we have only experienced France and Spain, so no advice offered.

It's not nearly big enough!

As a child I was always encouraged to read, and did the same for our sons, but have had limited success with the grandchildren.

Thanks Davy, I would have missed so much in Poland without the DK Eyewitness guide. They are quite exceptional.
