Hi. See if I got this right. All approximates. My first car 1966. Petrol 2/6 a gallon. ...8 X2/6 to a £. Now petrol £6 a gallon So6 x 8. -48. So I can buy today 1 gallon when in 1966 I could with £6 buy 48. Gallons. In 1966 I earnt 4.50 a week. (. 36gallons petrol). So today 36. X. 6 -216. So today’s wage should be £216 a week. I think it is a lot more. I personally think on average people want more. Years ago it took time to get things Nowadays it is wanted ASAP I think we should slow down a bit. How many times do you stand in a queue and people are complaining about queuing. Shops. banks etc. So we wait 5 mins. Lidl is a good example. Cheaper prices still good quality items.. not a lot of people on the tills. .more tills open prices will go up. So let’s all slow down. Well that’s my thoughts. Great forum great threads thank you???????????
