Gas or Diesel powered Heater?

I still find diesel cheaper to run than gas.... Either propex or carver convector....
That's based on real all year round useage not on manufacturers consumption figures....
Even with refillable cylinders....
Not to mention the convenience of filling up the heating fuel supply every time I brim the diesel tank for driving.
No brainer in my book.... But as ever each to their own.

Long time since I dealt with a propex in a fleet enviroment.

A diesel heater may or may not use miniscule amounts of fuel to produce heat
ie thermal efficiency. Wouldn't be difficult to calculate from a few factual figures
which gas or diesel really is the more efficient, and then work out how much each kWh actually
costs a motorhomer. I wouldn't put money on it, even though I did the simple
calcs. a few years ago and have now forgotten the result!
