I have only ever used a cup of soapy water and a 2 inch paint brush.

Like painting soapy water on all the joints if there was a leak it would start bubbling.

That’s an RAF way to detect leaks.

Not that you are likely to do so, using your RAF method on an oxygen bottle and there there is a leak, KAAABOOOOM, and goodnight 😴

Surely not? Soapy water + oxygen= boom??Where's the fuel for the explosion? If a bit of fairy liquid contained that much power our energy issues would be over🤔

Oh aye, surely yes! Wash up liquid may, or does contain hydrocarbon ingredients, possible animal fats, which is taboo anywhere near enriched oxygen.

While I said not an issue for us lot, but because you may use the soapy water solution to check MH gas joints, it is not safe at all with stored oxygen.
 
Please be aware that LPG is heavier than air and it drops down when released. This is why gas lockers have holes in the bottom of them. Natural gas is the opposite it rises into the atmosphere when released. LPG is not to be fooled around with as potentially it can be more dangerous. It’ll lie low (bilges in boats , kick spaces etc ), and if ignited will explode. It’s always worthwhile to get a gas safety check by a gas registered professional, who will issue a gas safety certificate. It’s also worth noting that , not all gas engineers are registered to work on motorhomes as this is a separate qualification, that is added to their card after qualifying.

That’s exactly why the NCC is a waste of time. What Baysview says is correct.

You don’t need to have gas safe checks and certs for private use UNLESS your insurance asks for it at the moment but that doesn’t mean a lot of the stuff you see is ok.

Interesting wording on the NCC bit though, are they saying if you full time it has to be base safe tested 😂😂😂
