Thanks, Gordon. At least you and Fiona will be safe from us in Gruissan Harbour! Enjoy *your* trip!Sorry to read about your recent illness steve but here's hoping you have a fast full recovery
Best wishes From Fiona and myself.
Unfortunately, there is a 1 month driving ban and an unrelated, but likely to be consequential, TIA Stroke Clinic Out Patient programme that will run for n weeks, so Spain Winter Break is cancelled, and the Summer Break will be a moveable feast. All of which is a little frustrating, because now my Blood Pressure is back on the scale [unless I start thinking about Aviva and the Flat flooding!], I feel perfectly 'normal' [for me ...] again!Sorry to hear about your illness. Hope that you can get back to your travels soon.
Thanks, Neil. I feel absolutely fine now, which is the most frustrating part! But there again, when my Blood Pressure was sitting between 210 and a tad over 240, and I was in the hospital bed, 'at rest', I also felt absolutely fine, once the tingly finger feeling had passed! I was tempted to ask whether the BP was a dodgy gauge, 'Gie it a wee tap, in case it's jammed', but thought that might be pushing my luck. It seems to be why coronary episodes can be so dangerous, the build up of pressure [literally] gives no apparent symptoms until things go seriously wrong and the ground rises up to break the fall ... . The painful wee episode lasted about 3-5 minutes, but the tingly fingers in the left arm lasted some 7 hours!Sorry to hear this Steve, get better soon hopefully matey
Wully, I s'pose it makes a change from the offer of a lifetime's viagra and a gift of £15,000 if I help a Nigerian Colonel to transfer several millions of £ out of his country. That might just have been enough to swing the deal .. . I know France and Spain will still be there next year, and I can console myself with the thought that, by then, the 'any changes to medication or health problems in last 6 months?' question will have passed, because I doubt I could afford the Travel Insurance premium!Steve listen I need you to sign a few documents for me it states my name at the top ( WILL ) I just need some details to fill in some blank spaces I need the registration of your van your address and some bank details to fill in the blank spaces. Get well soon France isn’t going anywhere so take it easy.
Elaine will be my guide and director, as she always has been, Eric, so it's her fault ...Get well soon we need your amusing repartee.

I tried the skirt lifting, Kev, but couldn't remember why I'd done it ... It did get me discharged quicker though ...Hi Steve, only just found this, I'm glad you're still with us mate, not enough nutters on here as it is so can't afford to lose one, lift the odd nurses skirt, it's good for the blood pressure so I'm told and they get you out faster.
Aye but............what discharged quickly?I tried the skirt lifting, Kev, but couldn't remember why I'd done it ... It did get me discharged quicker though ...
Steve
Aye but, if I'm nae drivin', Elaine will have to ... I'll say no more about the impact on my blood pressure, because when I commented on her missing a gear change in June 2016 [collecting me from hospital after my hip replacement], by saying that I quite liked the way that Peugeot built the gearbox and that there was no need to rearrange it, she replied immediately, 'In a minute, we'll see just how far you can walk on your crutches ...'Aye but............what discharged quickly?
Anyhoooooooo, sorry to hear you are under the weather, Steve. I note post #4 and your no driving for a month, at least the Fife roads will be a tad safer till you get the all clear. I hope you make a speedy recovery.
