Has the bubble finally burst on our hobby ?

Glasgow has an ULEZ planned, £10million given to update buses when they realised the city centre would be inaccessible to most. Over 40 other areas in Scotland are earmarked.
The three ill fated water cannons purchased by Boris Johnson cost a total of £32000 to modify to meet the low emission scheme criteria.

Can you see our power stations coping with that ,it strudels with kettles at the end of coronation st ,how many electric cars will be plugging in after the daily commute. ?

We have to look into the future. In one hour enough solar energy hits the earth to power it for one year... On some days the UK produces enough renewable energy to cover it's needs. Germany occasionally over-produces so much that it gives power away on occasion. Instead of that huge amount of 100% clean power being ignored look forward to localised or indeed personalised power storage. It will come... trust me on that one :)

My mate has a electric car and never used the grid to charge, solar on house roof wired to a car charger in his garage,we have fields of solar and turbines here now so less use of old type p/stations,its all going lecy whether you like it or not.

And hurrah, bring lecky vehicles and renewable energy on asap please! We can't go on burning crappy fossil fuels when more free energy that we could ever dream of is available and is being ignored. Smooth silent power, no idling in traffic jams... the grubby oil-burners that we are lumbered with at the moment have changed very little in many respects since the Model T Ford...

Yep still goes up bang down not exactly a 100 of progress .

An electric motorhome can you imagine what the price would be?
It's a numbers game, I paid £1300 for my first basic mobile phone in 1985 and those were 1985 pounds that were worth far more than todays pounds are! Now a low-end phone with more features is £25. Same with TV's, in 1968 a 25"colour television was over £300 and weighed over 100 lbs. a new Renault 4 was £599 in the same year. [The equivalent of £10,000 today] :-0
