Have you ever been without your van?

Well done trev ,right pain in the drum eh!
Mind we used to have to chamfer the leading edges but most shoes appear to have a taper on them now

That’s a lot of hassle Trev, so do you now have old on one side and new on other? If so surely there is some sort of equalising pressure valve on back axle between wheels?

I do remember back in 80’s one of my mates couldn’t get back brakes working right on a Cortina and ended up getting another axle complete with brake lines from scrap yard before it was sorted and working. I always thought it was something he wasn’t doing or had done wrong until I heard about what you are getting

Well we’ve just had to return home for a family matter but the van so far has ran very nicely indeed ,I’m pleasantly surprised after all the grief between me and the repairer .they did not charge me for my new radiator (I wonder why ,after I challenged it was pressurised even with knackered engine) !
Let’s hope she carries on in her new attire ??

Since 2010 when we bought our brand new Autocruise Startrail we have been without her on numerous occasions due to warranty work.
6 different dealers have had her. I got to the point where I insisted Swift complete the work and she has been to.them 3 times, all of this visits lasted at least 2 months.
Her first visit lasted 3 months. They did give us a hire car to get home but I insisted they give us the car for the duration of the repairs. In the end the relented. When I finally had the van returned to us I billed them for loss of insurance, road tax, usaget etc. They did pay it but now everyone has to sign a disclaimer. My last visit was in October 2016 again 3 months she was there but I cannot complain as my warranty expired in 2013. All completed all the work at no.charge. ?
