This is the bit that worries me…..

The Clean Air Zone

The Greater Manchester-wide charging Clean Air Zone is due to be introduced on 30 May 2022. Vehicles that do not meet emissions standards (non-compliant vehicles) will be charged to drive in the Clean Air Zone. There will be some discounts and exemptions.

You will need to pay a £60 daily charge to travel in the Zone if:

  • You own an N2 or N3 category vehicle – e.g. an articulated or rigid HGV, flatbed lorry, two-axle lorry, motorcaravan with an HGV tax classification (over 3.5t) or motorised horsebox (over 3.5t).

Manchester exclusion zone.
Reading exemptions, they include “Private vehicles “. Surely Motorhomes are private vehicles, and therefore exempt.
Somebody agree with me please. Is Andy Burnham a member?

motorcaravan with an HGV tax classification (over 3.5t)

Sorry Del…. any Motorhome over 3.5t is a Private Heavy Goods Vehicle

I did understand that Rog. But, isn’t the important word, Private?

Just gonna wait, and see what happens when we get back from the foreign.
You’re getting a foreign? Tell me more. Did you dig your own tunnel.
Oh! I know, you’ve bought a second hand dingy from an Arabian bloke near Dover. One careful owner, only carried 40 .

just checked our van on gov.uk and the clean air Manchester site and its £60 per day for us! Although some roads are not included in the clean air zone.....so its not very clear how it would affect this meet :(
Think you get to Littleborough through Hollingsworth Village.
This strategically important trans-Pennine route is managed by National Highways and passes through the villages of Hollingworth and Mottram as a single carriageway. The route is included in Greater Manchester’s Air Quality Management Area and we are working closely with government and National Highways on proposals to include it in the Clean Air Zone. The main priority is to make sure that charging on the identified sections of the A57 and A628 is fully integrated with the Clean Air Zone to make the system operate as easily as possible for road users. Government’s clear objective is to make sure that charging on this section of the strategic road network is aligned with the anticipated launch of the Greater Manchester Clean Air Zone on 30 May 2022.

This is a Double bank holiday week (Spring bank holiday + Queens Platinum jubilee )

Littleborough Rugby Club ( Littleborough sports club ) , Hollingworth Lake, Littleborough, starting Wednesday 1st June Until Monday 6th June 2022. Only 10 min off junction 21 M62, on the border with Lancashire and West Yorkshire, stunning location in the very heart of the Pennines.

Please note this is not the campsite on Rakewood road, drive past the campsite and it is next right after you drive past the old stone derelict mill, it is shown as Littleborough sports club on Google Maps. Also take care when driving down the single track road at the side of the lake, there are plenty of passing points if you do meet oncoming traffic, there will probably be lots of pedestrians walking down this road also so take it nice and easy

There are some lovely walks around the area and lake where you will find cafés, bars and restaurants

The Bar and clubhouse will be open for us every night, also your dog is welcome in the clubhouse but not in the snug room

We will have 4 x charging points available, these are to charge your leisure batteries only, you must book these 24hrs in advance and will be allocated a 4 hour slot. There will be no extra charge for this service

The club has got toilets and showers for us to use

We will have fresh water available, and Elsan emptying points also rubbish disposal. Grey water can be let out onto the grass

The cost is £11.00 per unit per night, I think we have got good value for the time of the year

Fire pits and generators are allowed at this camp subject to our terms and conditions. If you intend to use any of these please inform us upon arrival as you will be allocated to a area where you will not disturb anyone who is not using one.
