Last week I put the wife ebco e bike into our local cycle repairer after being messed about by a amateur outfit imho called HALFORDS!,,,
GAVEVTHE LOCAL SHOP (PEDAL PIWER WEST CALDER ) THE AUTHORITY TO REPLACE INNER TUBES AND tyres IF THEY FELT IT REQUIRED THEM
GOT A PHONE CALL TO SAY the REAR HUB WAS VERY TIGHT AND MAY NEED A NEW ONE AND A WHEEL
GAVE THEM THE GO AHEAD POSSIBLY £120
Next call was to tell me these last two items were not required as when they stripped it down they've managed to release .clean up and regrease the hub assy
total cost £20
NOW I TO SAY THE LEAST WAS VERY PLEASED AND THANKED THEM FOR THEIR HONESTY WHICH THEY COULDVE TAKEN ME FOR A FEW QUID
HOW REFRESHING IN THESE TIMES EH
SO IF YOU ARE IN WEST LOTHIAN AND NEED CYCLE REPAIRS OR SALES I CAN RECOMEND THEM

I always do honest jobs and save folk money and that's why I'm poor, loads of cowboy garages around here take people on big time, wifes brother gets his eye wiped all to often, I try not to do work for him as he cannot leave things alone and best not to do family work.

For the very few things I can't do on any of my bikes I use my local cycle shop, they always do a good job and don't rip people off, Lloyds Cycles in Swadlincote.

Same but different, last night in the pub someone handed a bunch of cash in at the bar that she found on the floor - maybe 40/50 quid.

I told the barman the bloke who lost it would at least buy her a drink and suggested he should. Don't know if he did, but fair play to her!

Halfords Scunthorpe gave me good service.Have used a LBS but car parking an issue.Easy to roll up in retail park
