Hook up mains

With ours being outside of the house we can’t have it plugged in all the time so we just have the cupboards open and keep checking every couple of days

Over the winter the MoHo is in a big indoor storage "hanger" with several others. So EHU (and heating) not available.
In the summer we use it 100%

Both batteries are maintained by the solar panel as the hangers have clear perspex (or similar) roofing.
Vehicle will get a "runout" in March for its annual service/MOT.
When we collect it and live in it all the time we first go to a C&CC certified site/location for a couple of nights.
There we use a combination of the gas Truma heating and a 1KW fan heater (EHU included in site fee) to warm and air everything.
We are very happy with all this as.....
  • the storage manager is both friendly helpful and well-organised.
  • the garage is a smallish unit but a proper garage on an industrial estate near the storage.
  • the location is quite handy as we can get to and from LHR using National express (via Gloucester & a taxi).
  • Indoor storage does (I think) limit the problems of winter.
Only slight problem is that the fridge needs a good clean even though we leave if off and open.
In the summer

I haven't bothered before, just having hookup over the winter for the Batteries, but over the weekend decided to also plug in a little 450W oil rad I have, set to minimum and located in the underbed garage where the water containers and most pipework is, and left the mattress foot propped up to allow airflow from garage to living area.
Also decided to leave the water heater on its minimum setting to avoid any risk of water inside freezing as a precuation (the extra energy use is minimal - when I turn the heater on when the van was around 2C, the heater came on for just a minute)

My camper sits on my drive checked weekly and started weekly and run up to normal running temperature and regularly run around the block I also leave all the cupboard doors open

Never plugged in when not I use as no facility for that where I store it. Then again it had only been in store either 4 or 5 nights so far this year.

Currently sat in a lovely isolated spot watching the snow falling :)
