How can a nation take him seriously

When he won last time I was working for a global US pharmaceutical company, on subsequent conference calls for weeks after they kept apologising! Many seemed truly ashamed he had won.

Now in for a second term he has almost certainly got some scores to settle, he has such an awful personality I hate to think how further messed up and further divided the US will become over the term.

The man’s a deranged nutcase I personally just can’t understand why any party would have selected him, let alone so many vote for him.

Not just the US, we, (or a lot of us), took the pathological liar Boris Johnson seriously!!!!!!
I suppose the British electorate can to a certain extent adopt the moral high ground in that we didn't elect either Johnson or Truss to lead the country.
I remember when Trump was elected on his first term, there was a cafe in London with a sign outside stating that all Americans must be accompanied by an adult
