How many miles per year in your van

Hello, all,
I am new to the campervan scene, having bought a Fiat Ducato Panel Van conversion in November. I've exceeded my 6000m insured miles, and am about to up it by a further 6000. Maybe it'll wear off as I get less excited by it. Maybe I'll drive further..... who knows? Some of you guys record a very high mileage: I guess the T4, 5 and 6s are main vehicles quite often.
I'm recording 34 mpg on average over that time.

I'm insured to do 12,000 miles per year in the van.

I usually get pretty close to this.

I've done 24,000 in the 33 months I've had the van.
Before my ownership, the van did 32,000 in its 13 years history. ( less than 3,000 per year)

We did about 8,000 miles last year. However, that inclued 3,000 miles over five weeks around Western Europe and 2,000 miles taking her to and from the dealer's for warranty repairs. We get about 25mpg in UK but while touring France, Netherlands etc. we were consistently getting 30+mpg. I wonder if French diesel is better quality or their roads offer less rolling resistance?

Nope. My T4 has done about 10K per year in the nearly 3 years I've had it. My car has done about the same. That's why I run a car as well. Wouldn't want 20K a year going on the VW.

We covered 7k miles last year, with 4k of them on a trip to France, Spain and Portugal. Our UK journeys are relatively short. When we had the VW camper-van I did 10k a year, as I used it in place of a second car. There aren’t many supermarkets near me or shopping centres where I’m happy to take the Ducato.

We do about 7000 miles each year. Just wondered if this is about average on here.
Year 1 full time was over 25,000 but we did include Nordkap and Sicily. We’ve slowed up a lot and the last two years are more like 16,000 pa!!

Who owns these really low mileage vans you see advertised for sale?
We bought ours last November, it's an 07 model and had only 8200 on the dash, they are around if you look .

I was required to submit a photograph of my mileage to the Insurance company. I am limited to 11k miles in the year. I have had my van 10 weeks and have done 3,000 miles already!

Every time we go somewhere it turns out to about a thousand miles, even short trip go a long way??????? 20000 so far from may 2016
all at 25 mpg the World resources seem to go to the greys driving their motorhomes around.

Approx 10k per year all uk. The majority of which is touring Scotland 6/8 times per year, each trip usually approx 1200 miles.
Slightly off topic but a letter arrived from VW informing me my breakdown cover on my ‘UP’ runs out Shortly, bought new last October.
Believe it or not I’ve done 1200 miles in 10 months ! I use it to do the shopping and collect the grandson from school 3 days per week.
I’m looking to buy an A or C class in the near future, if I was keeping my present pvc I would cut my losses and sell the ‘UP’.

We are averaging about 15,000 miles per annum. We were away for two trips covering five weeks over the summer and did 6,000 miles. We also run about the country at the weekend.

In our present van, we have done about 20000 in just under two years. The previous owner had it for 7 years and did 7000 miles in that time.
When we sold our Autosleeper, we bought it new and did 23000 in 3 years while we were still working. The new owner has just traded it in for a new one after 2 years ownership and has done less than 1500 miles in it. I guess his new van will have a similar mileage.
That’s expensive van ownership!

My mate is away for a long weekend this weekend, that will bring the total days use this year to 6 days. New van last year, still works full time but I would be crying only doing that with the costs involved.

Last year we did £14000 miles ( think the insurance was £12000!...oops!) Previously we did about 8000. Useful MOT records on the gov.uk site....did not know that existed.
