HOW Much!!!

Liz has managed to break the fridge door lock, it was the freezer door last time.

That's dirt cheap, Kev, relatively speaking. The equivalent kit for the Dometic 9435 fridge handle was £130.86 [pence figure maybe slightly wrong ...], in May 2023, and I think that prices have increased a fair bit since then! That's why I salvaged most of the bits and have kept my emergency external closure kit of threaded bar and R Clips for the next time that it happens ... BTW, I didn't buy the part of the fridge handle that props the door open when it's switched off [a plastic wedge between the door and the portable caravan step works ...]; this was missing when we bought Brunhilde in April 2021, and the 2023 price was around £43 IIRC; outrageously expensive for what it is/does, and still fragile quality (n)

Mine is a 6 series and the broken catch would have been £30.60, because the grey plastic "washer" split. I found that a steel washer on top of a fibre washer worked fine.

As it has never burst open when travelling I'm inclined to save the money.
That's because you were using a fridge door lock;)
I managed to bodge ours back together and I believe someone on Fun was making the plastic bits with a 3d printer.
I'm sure you'll think of a way to keep it closed...............even a hook and eye depending on location

I can confirm that a 3D printer version is available from a member on MHFun as I purchased one for my sisters fridge. Not expensive and a lot better than the original. I asked at the time if he was going to set up a small business but Paul said no, just happy to supply to forum members. He makes other bits and pieces also, I have a holder for lpg adapters, as well as an attachment for filling my fresh water tank - all are great quality.

Please would you post pics of both? The attachment for filling fresh water tank particularly intrigues me.

@Sharon the Cat - will do re the water filler cup. Van is in storage so is likely to be the weekend before I can take a picture. However please see attached the lpg adapters holder.

EDIT: found the photo of the filler adapter on the forum - not mine specifically but it gives you the idea of how they work. Small and neat just slots into the filler inlet and no more wet arms when pouring from a container! There are different designs depending on the type of filler. Mine has a lockable cap so the funnel for mine is slightly deeper as there is no flap to negotiate.408BCCE3-3565-410A-BE21-4761A9FFFC20.png
