I’m impressed by my son-in-law (for you rugby fans)!

My son-in-law, for various work related reasons, met three relatively important people today. The President of Zambia, the First Minister of Scotland and the Scottish Rugby Union head coach who has just had his contract extended for a further 3 years. When I asked him who had excited and impressed him the most the answer was unambiguous and immediate - Gregor Townsend!
What a superb answer!!

Tony, probably Gregor came first, as the easiest to pronounce, and spell 🤭

I suspect it’s more to do with the fact that SIL played rugby and was captain of Edinburgh Wanderers for a while until injury forced him to stop playing.

To be cpt of EW, he was no doubt very good, and no doubt very gutted to give up playing. SIL I guess is still heavily involved with the game. I noticed a few times a SR livery 4x4 truck doon at an Ironmills residence, old SQA site.

Occasionally my wife and I discuss which famous people we have met. My wife has met some varied and interesting people over the years however without exception the only ones I have met are all international (or former international) rugby players...most of which my wife has not heard of!

I don't name drop after meeting the famous; they should name drop me, because I'm infamous [in my own little world, and in an agricultural fashion ...] :ROFLMAO: And they've all got it in for me, as the pun has it ...
