I got my C1 back!!!!!

What a relief, finally.

I did not bother renewing my C1 nearly 3 years ago (no need for it). I was surprised when I got my replacement licence to find I still had it, without a medical or eye test. :p

I wonder if I will get it again next February? 😁

Can I ask why this took so long to get the result you required, please. I ask as I'll soon have to go down the same route as yourself to keep my C1. Any recommendations for a smooth route when I do apply to maintain my C1 a year from now?

Unless there are medical reasons not to you can still drive until you get the answer from DVLA

They turned me down on medical grounds in July 2024 . Then in September 2024 I appealed. with a letter from my sonsultant The whole time was just the process and the DVLA then writing to my consultant again in April this year, the consultant replied early July. The whole thing was apparently fast tracked, perhaps that caused the delay.
