I need a replacement fresh water tank drain pipe for my Autocruise Rhythm

After taking evasive action to avoid an eejit driving a builders van on a narrow road near Cork, we now find that the drain pipe and valve for the fish water tank has been ripped off our '64 Autocruise Rhythm. I've effected a temporary repair that will keep us going for the rest of our Irish Tour, but I need to source a replacement.

Until I can get the 'van on ramps, I can't see who made the tank, but it's a black (!) rectangular section tank with a threaded drain outlet on the long side. I've done some searching on t'net, but haven't been able to tie it down yet.

If it's still usable I'd get it home and then take off the fitting at the tank if it's still there and get some fitting from a plumbers merchants when you get home, it'll be some standard size.

Ripped ours off couple times over the years .
I got some of the flexi pipe and a new tap couple pipe clips. Much better that the rigided type.

Ours has a flexible pipe too now, and its held up with a skinny tie wrap so if it snags it just falls down and I fasten it back up.

Thanks all.
The stub is still there, though it is cracked. I may be able to fix it though.

I like the idea of flexible pipe. The standard location is very vulnerable to being clonked if you need to ride a verge or similar, so I may look at re-siting it.

I shouldn't think the converter had any special fitting made so a good plumbers merchant should have all you need, could it be routed to the other side of the van or to the back?

Google George Fischer or John Guest grey PVC pipe and fittings .
