Something seems to have gone wrong. I had set to ignore certain forums but am again being notified of new posts in those forums and canot find the "Ignore forum" button.

The forum updates have made this plugin incompatible, I am fixing it.

I suspect that that is an 'ignore the person you clicked on' function.

I have just looked on an android tablet and the function is there to ignore threads or forums, I will check on my PC later

That is a different function. To use that "ignore thread" button, you actually have to go into the thread you want to ignore to hit the button. It doesn't stop new threads in a topic area appearing in the "new posts" lists.

You can also unsubscribe to threads you don't like if you get an email.

But this was about the option to ignore an entire forum section; Phil did restore it some time ago.

I use Forums > New posts when I log in and this includes new posts from all forums unless one ignores those that are not remotely of interest (e.g. the Bikers forum on WC). I much prefer a "clean" list of posts from forums that are of interest, even if some of the posts may not be.
