Ingenious if you like to be the star attraction on the camp site

This is a better version of the idea

That did come to mind, but actually the Berlingo idea is better - IF implemented better - I think. The double-back gives you more room to lie down, but the Berlingo "solution" opens up more I reckon and gives more of an open space (the double-back is a bit too coffin-like for me).
I would still go for the awning option rather than either of those though. I used a 4M x 2M Fiamma Privacy/Safari Room with my VW LT Camper and I found that very good. Not got round to trying it with the current Motorhome.

Well I loved it and thought it was great, could do with him sorting some bits for me.

Why would it be no good in the rain, what did I miss or did folks who posted these comments not watch the full video?

You can’t beat a bit of eccentricity and I have had and certainly seen a lot of others, take longer putting up awnings. Just brilliant, imagine being one of the grandkids going on an adventure with grandad in that 👍😁

Not keen on the VW version lots of empty space once it's deployed.

The rain comments were I think it take so long to erect it all you and it would be soaked, it could do with a awning so you could work under it.

Ends up looking like a Romahome. There's an idea - just buy a Romahome. The back bit is already set up on it.

Yeah but have you seen the prices of them, more expensive than a proper C class of the same age., and most are not low mileage as they get used as a car.
