Always shop around at every renewal. Do the research between five and three weeks before renewal for the lowest premiums.
Check what the cover is and whether it covers your needs. Limits on windscreen value are often too low on A class vans, mileage limits are sometimes low, or the penalties for exceeding them too harsh.
The brokers I usually end up going through are AIB.
The ones to avoid are the C&MC's insurers, Devitts. A spectacular combination of being incompetent and indifferent at the same time as ripping you off (I guess you're paying their bung to the club on top of your premium).
