Thanks for previous answers about the tyres for our forthcoming plate change.

Our insurance runs out on 1st of November currently it is with Ageas and we are being quoted at £895 with both of us driving and an excess of £250 and including legal expenses. We get 180 days of EU travel with that too and now that I have retired from motorcycle racing we will probably use all of that tbh

Before I get a new quote from them for the up-plated van

I was wondering what are the best options people have found for moho insurance, I'm keen to save money and also get the best cover I can.

Would be grateful of your input.

cheers

Jim n Pat

Unfortunately it'll be a merry-go-round of phone calls as they all seem to pick numbers out of thin air.
I'm with comfort who give a good price and seems to be good cover, never know until you need it though.

Another vote for Safeguard. We have been with them for a few years now and I always shop around but never beat their price. Comes with the full Euro breakdown/recovery too.

I usually go with Asda insurance as they seem to charge less commission so you get a better premium, but last time we tried Confused.com

Sorry random, but 'retired from motorcycle racing'? You've only just gone back!!!
 Ha! ha! I only just went back 6 years ago!!!, time to get out whilst I still have some bones left unbroken (two championships in that time tho!! and six bones broken!!) I I have stopped working, its time to stop hammering the bank account and also give the youngsters a chance :)

We have used AIB for years but prices sky rocketed this year Adrian flux was cheaper but we ended up with ripe they gave a good introduction discount plus If you mentioned someone with a policy you get a further discount

I see from another thread that you are thinking of going to Morocco.
LV was the cheapest for us AND we also got a 90 day green card covering Morocco for an extra £125.
It's comprehensive cover and saves all that messing and expense at the border to get "a piece of paper"
Although I did read they have stopped offering new cover for some motorhomes.
SO let us know how you get on if you do ask for a quote
