Interior temperature

A couple of time Phil and Chalky white have sat in my van and commented on the temperature it was 7 degrees in my van the other night and there were moans about how cold it was both Phil and Chalkie have their vans at 18/20 degrees I would be melting at those temperatures for me no higher than 15 max and most of the time a lot less and as Hipster pointed out in another thread as soon as you open your van door all that heat is lost.
So what temperature do you have your van?

I don't have a thermometer, but I'm guessing it will be near 20 degrees. David feels the cold now. I prefer it cooler with extra clothing on and a window open slightly for some fresh air, now I feel like an orchid.

I'm with Chalky and Phil I have it about 19 20.

now there a point it would be interesting to see if there is a north south divide when it comes to feeling the cold.

yepbut sliding door opens up whole side of van unlike coach built that only has small door in comparision to a pvc

Fitted my little LIDL IN/OUT thermometer yesterday actually. The "OUT" probe actually gets put in the fridge so I can monitor that.

initial Temp was 3 Cel. After having the 2kW heater going for 3-4 hours, got to around 17C and it was just about ok (but I did still have my coat on).
on my T5 I used to set the Eberspacher for around 21-22C as do like it toasty.

I like to be cosy, at least 20 in the van, maybe a bit less at night. Years of being in freezing tents has made me appreciate being able to be warm when out camping. Since converting to lpg a couple of years ago it doesn't even cost much to be very warm in the van.

18 - 20 for us too, sometimes turn it lower overnight. Aidan and the dogs wear their jumpers but I'm happy in a t-shirt shirt.

Annie I’m sure with Phil having Fibromyalgia he will feel the cold so he will have to have the temperature constant for us it had to be warm about 16/17 during the day and cooler during the night! There again I’m with you runnach haha

Somewhere around about -5 °C suits me, whereas Julie would prefer it to be about 18°.

So we compromise, somewhere around -4 °C.

I've had it around 34-37c in the summer, but in winter i set the thermostat to around the 16c mark....:Smiling_Face_with_H

Correct temp for anywhere is 21c,house van car,at night this should be dropped to 17/18c for comphy sleep.
People sitting in temps below this at oldish age are at health risk, these are gov medical guide lines.:Ok_Hand_Sign_Emoji:

I hate using the horrible, noisy, blown air heating and in any case prefer cooler temperatures. I leave the Moho to it's own devices and put an extra jumper on if I feel chilly.
I used the heating twice (for an hour on each occasion) when I was on The Drove at the winter solstice last year. That's the only time I've used the heating in the Moho.

Softie Southerners?

Think on!

Colin ???

I'm over sensitive about noise, loathe generators and find compressor fridges annoying, but am never bothered by my blown air heating. It's quite quiet except when giving a good blast to warm a freezing cold van, very powerful, no more than 10 minutes from freezing to tropical and very efficient too. The colder it is outside the more smug I feel sitting cosy inside.
